AG Places 5th at 43rd Mission Viejo Invite

Arroyo Grande (CIF-SS Div 2) competed at the 43rd Mission Viejo Invite this past Saturday and scored 264.5 points to finish 5th out of 31 teams. The winning team was Campolindo of the North Coast Section, who won with 332 points to beat out Redlands (CIF-SS Div 2) by 10 points. San Clemente (CIF-SS Div 1) scored 290 points for third and Murrieta Valley (CIF-SS Div 2) put up 284 for fourth.
The 200 freestyle relay team of Christian Solis, Jack Alexander, David Malouf, and Chris Dichmann placed 5th with a CIF automatic time of 1:29.87.
James Hazel was a finalist in two events and placed tenth in the 200 free with a time of 1 minute, 47.78 seconds and finished eighth in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:50.48. Both times are CIF consideration times.
Trent Schachter was also a finalist in two events. He placed seventh in the 100 butterfly with a time of 53.82 and placed ninth in the 100 backstroke with a time of 54.84. Both times are CIF consideration times.
